AL Campaign/Cash for College Week at SHS

October 29th through November 2nd is

"Alabama Campaign/Cash for College Week."


Parenting Day will be Monday, Oct. 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in computer lab 305.  Parents are invited to attend this mini-discussion on college and financial aid basics.  Coach Jeff Kelly will also discuss clearing house rules/procedures, and Officer Bruce Harbin will be disucssing cyber bullying and drugs/alcohol awareness/prevention tips for parents.

The Monday night event (Oct. 29th) will start at

6:00 p.m. in the SHS cafeteria. 

This will be a College/Financial Aid/FAFSA 101 night, as well as a mini-college fair!  The presentation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 and the mini-college fair will follow from 7:00-8:00, with 9 colleges attending.

On Thursday, (11/1) there will be an open computer lab all day for students and parents to stop in and work on college applications, scholarship applications, and/or FAFSA applications. 

In addition, a computer lab will be open from 3:30-7:00 p.m. that day, for parents/students to come work on all of the preparations mentioned above.


Students are allowed to wear college t-shirts or colors on
